Stone Mill House in Charente Maritime
Chez Moulin is typical old stone mill house in Charente Maritime, which has been been renovated to provide a light, airy place to stay. With 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, additional WC, open plan kitchen/living area and galleried landing, there is plenty of space to enjoy this beautiful mill house.
The large picture window at the front of the house overlooks the millpond and fields. French doors lead to the patio with views of the pool, stream and garden; in which, many flowers, plants and herbs grow. Please feel free to pick & use the herbs for your culinary dishes, during your stay.
With the aim of helping you make the most of your holiday, pool and garden furniture, (as well as garden games, such as boules and badminton), are all provided, plus of course, the all essential barbecue and tools.
The secluded walled and terraced solar heated pool (10m x 5m), is a great sun trap and is for the exclusive use of holiday guests. There is an extensive terrace with ambiant lighting so you can swim all night or just enjoy balmy evenings by the pool. In order to comply with French safety recommendations, the pool is also fenced and gated.
Mill House Kitchen/Open Plan Area
This open plan kitchen/living area has all necessary mod cons needed to make your stay a comfortable one. There is all the usual kitchen equipment, plus a microwave and dishwasher. The dining table seats eight comfortably. For those rare times when taking a dip in the pool, sunbathing or just enjoying the surroundings is not enough, a TV, video player, CD/radio cassette and family board games are also supplied for your entertainment.
There is a folder setting out local information, a guide to restaurants, towns to visit and 'things to do' in and around the area.
Galleried Landing
The feature staircase leads to a large galleried landing and additional sitting area. To help you relax there are two sofas (which are also sofa beds), a beautiful French 'day bed', a second TV with DVD player, a selection of DVDs, a small library of paperbacks, board games and jigsaw puzzles for your enjoyment.
Bathroom & Downstairs Double Bedroom
The bathroom and one double bedroom are on the ground floor. The bathroom is fully tiled and complete with corner bath, shower, washbasin and WC. For added 'convenience' there is also a separate WC next door.
Twin Bedroom
Bedroom two is the twin bedded room. (If requested, a 'Z' bed can be made available to enable 3 children to share a room). A cot can also be provided upon request.
Third Double Bedroom
The third double bedroom overlooks the pool area, stream, bridge and garden.
Linen for the Mill House in Charente Maritime
All bed linen is included in the cost of your holiday with a change of linen supplied, if requested, at the end of each week of your stay. With the exception of beach towels, all towels are also supplied. For guests' use, an automatic washing machine, iron, ironing board and tumble dryer* are also provided and included in the cost of your holiday.
* Tumble drier is for winter lets only.
